About My Photography

My father gave me my first camera at age 7 - a Kodak Instamatic, but I really fell in love with photography when I took my first photography class under Bill Pugh, finding solace in the darkroom. I found it to be creative and meditative at the same time. I was head photographer for our school newspaper and yearbook which led to 1st place in the Photojournalism category at Nationals (NJEA) and in San Joaquin County.
From there, it was off to USC School of Cinema/Television where I studied cinematography and directing.
Since then and working as a Casting Director since 2004, I've spent a lot of time diving back into my exploration of photography, which really feeds my soul.
I love doing portraits because I love people and connecting with them, and seeing their personalities come thru the lens.
